A 'PT's New Year Resolutions
----------------------------- Whether you are a 'PT (Perpetual Traveller)', aspire to be one, or just want to thrive in a chaotic world, you might consider some of these New Year's Resolutions:
#1...The Strategic Plan
The strategic plan must include 'an expanded list of options' which allow me to not only survive what's coming, but to thrive. This thinking must incorporate all areas of living:
-- business/income
-- living/location
-- pleasure/playgrounds
-- finance/banking
-- investing/retirement
-- health/fitness/healing
#2...Business/Income
I must not be dependent upon one employer, one business, one location, one economy, one currency, one political regime. Failure to diversify could mean complete dependence and failure.
I must diversify my business activities and income so that one source could completely dry up and go away and not affect me and my family.
#3...Living Location
In view of pending: economic calamities, natural disasters, fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, political upheavals, socialists or Marxists creeping into my neighborhood, wars, growing crime and/or general moral and societal decay which increasingly threatens my family, I must be able to flee.
I resolve to start thinking about alternative places to 'land'/live/escape and be able to get there on short notice. I resolve to open my mind and find out about options for getting out of harms way should it come, or if not, just for enjoying life in the alternative.
#4...Pleasure & Playgrounds
I hereby resolve to enjoy more of life and the blessings that this world has to offer and to experience the rich; cultures, cuisines, beaches, mountains, wildlife, history, warm climates, resorts, nightlife, other fun loving and successful people from around the world.
I resolve to open my mind to find new opportunities to enjoy my life 'Now'.
#5...Finance & Banking
In view of the imminent collapse of the US dollar and other global currencies in threatened economies,
I hereby resolve to protect myself and my family and establish new accounts abroad to hold cash in other currencies which will hold their value against my weaker home currency and thus keep me solvent when the purchasing power of my neighbors who don't, could be crushed.
I resolve to open my mind and find new ways of handling my finances.
#6...Investing & Retirement
In view of the economic crisis that is depleting peoples' hopes, futures and retirements all around the world, I resolve not to become a victim.
Or if I already, am, to find ways to recover and rebuild quickly. In that end, I hereby resolve to open my mind to explore new and different ways of A) protecting what I do have (left), B) Managing my nest egg in a better way to acheive a higher level of security and more aggressive growth at the same time.
#6...Health & Fitness
I hereby resolve to take control over my health and fitness this year, to take full responsibility, to take that responsibility away from my registered doctors and put it squarely on my own shoulders. I resolve to open my mind to find alternative approaches to keeping my health in a way that God intended for me.
Now, to many folks, accomplishing the above would be a tall order.
Being able to do all of the above for any normal individual would require immense research and time and the follow up effort required to even begin to accomplish that list. ... unless you know where to go, who to hang out with and where to find such diverse info it would be a near impossible task.
